Job summary

BW Papersystems, part of the Barry-Wehmiller Group, is seeking an experienced shop/field welder/fabricator to assemble structural metal products per blueprints. You will interpret drawings, set up welding equipment, and ensure quality with precision measurements in a hands-on, on-site role.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of industrial welding/fabrication experience. Commitment to safety, teamwork, and meeting production schedules is essential in this industrial

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Typically 2–4 years of experience in industrial welding or fabrication.
Ability to read blueprints, route sheets, and specifications.

Responsibilities

Interpret moderately complex drawings, route sheets, specifications and instructions to determine methods.
Set up and operate welding equipment; select electrodes and adjust settings for MIG/TIG welding.
Perform cutting, brazing, grinding, and painting as needed.
Measure dimensions with micrometers and calipers to verify tolerances.
Inspect finished work for defects and conformance to specs.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in team meetings.
