Job summary

BW Papersystems, part of Barry-Wehmiller, seeks an experienced Electrical Assembler / Electrician to work on large, custom-built machinery. You will read wiring diagrams, assemble and install components, and troubleshoot electrical issues on complex systems in a manufacturing setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of electrical wiring/installation experience or a 2-year degree/certification with 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders
• Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, subassemblies, and support structures
• Label, wire, and connect switch boxes and control panel terminal boards
• Inspect wiring for coding accuracy, termination, continuity, and identify shorts or grounds
• Assist in testing completed machines and troubleshooting electrical issues
• Document work to meet quality and production requirements
• Collaborate with team members to resolve quality, cost, or production challenges
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper care of tools & equipment
• Multi‑task and shift priorities as needed throughout the day
