Ingram Barge in Port Allen, LA, is seeking an experienced welder to join our team to repair and maintain our fleet of barges. This role requires lifting, reading blueprints, and adhering to USCG safety standards while working on dockside and dry-dock operations.

The position calls for 2–3 years of experience with shipyard practices, a High School Diploma or GED, and USCG certification preferred. Comprehensive benefits and 401K are provided.

• Dry docking vessels for hull repair
• Operating hydraulic crane
• Firewatch on towing vessels
• Routinedock clean up
• Other duties as requested

Degree Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience Required:

2-3 years of experience

Shipyard experience and USCG certification preferred

Additional Information

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Can walk and lift for extended periods
• Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
• Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
