Job summary

Apple Country Animal Hospital in Stow, MA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (CVT encouraged but not required) to join our full-service small animal team. You will perform venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, imaging, and in-house lab work while collaborating with veterinarians and supporting staff.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience required
• CVT preferred but not required
• Experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply
• Strong venipuncture and patient-handling skills
• Experience with anesthesia and surgical patient monitoring
• Comfortable working with canine and feline patients
• Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative
• Strong communication and client-education skills
• Dependable, proactive and willing to jump in
• Commitment to quality patient care and growth

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and laboratory sample collection
• IV catheter placement
• Administering medications and injections
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery
• Dental procedures and dental radiography
• Digital radiology and diagnostic imaging
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• In-house laboratory testing
• Patient restraint and low-stress handling
• Technician appointments and outpatient treatments
• Supporting veterinarians during appointments and procedures
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Client education and discharge instructions
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Mentor and support less experienced team members
