Job summary

VetSelect Animal Hospital of Novi is seeking an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our small animal practice in Novi, MI. The role offers a four-day workweek, full-time benefits, and opportunities to fully utilize veterinary technician skills while working closely with our veterinarians.

You’ll perform blood draws, in-house lab tests, medication administration, and client education, while maintaining medical records and delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of veterinary experience preferred.
• Experience with core veterinary technician skills.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and computer literacy.
• Commitment to excellent patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and collect samples for diagnostic testing
• Perform in-house laboratory tests
• Safely handle and restrain patients
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Educate clients about their pets’ care and veterinary recommendations
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Help provide excellent medical care to companion animal patients
