Job summary

AAVMP is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist in Belton, Texas, for a full-time, on-site role. We prioritize warm client interactions, compassionate care, and a friendly team environment.

As the first point of contact, you will manage appointments, medical history, and client communications while supporting the veterinary staff with data entry and administrative tasks at our pet care facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Weekend availability as needed.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds.
• At least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, quality customer care to patients and clients.
• Process invoices payments.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and obtain all necessary medical history.
• Determine the status of the patient's immunizations and tests.
• Communicate with the doctor and technical staff on the patient's arrival and necessary treatments.
• Fill prescriptions, food requests, and over-the-counter products as instructed by a veterinarian.
• Accurately input data into computer software.
