Job summary

Belton Small Animal Clinic in Belton, Texas, is seeking a friendly receptionist to join our team. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, process payments, and coordinate with the veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow.

We value a compassionate, proactive mindset, weekend availability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when assisting with inventory or client needs. A high school diploma and veterinary experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Experience answering phones and taking messages is preferred.
• Ability to input data accurately into computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, quality customer care to patients and clients
• Process invoices payments
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and obtain all necessary medical history
• Determine status of patient’s immunizations and tests
• Communicate with the doctor and staff on arrival and treatments
• Fill prescriptions, food requests, and OTC products as instructed by a veterinarian
• Accurately input data into computer software
• Other duties as assigned or changed by policies

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• Provide friendly, quality customer care to patients and clients

• Communicate with the doctor and technical staff on the patient’s arrival and necessary treatments
• Fill prescriptions, food requests, and over-the-counter products as instructed by a veterinarian

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Weekend availability as needed
