Job summary

Veterinary Medical Center of Woodland Hills is actively seeking a Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience, is compassionate toward patients and clients, and can assist veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

We offer cross-training, rooming patients, blood draws, anesthesia assistance, and ongoing opportunities for growth within AmeriVet’s expanding network. Open availability, including Saturdays, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience is required and will be evaluated during interview.
• Comfort with client communication and education.
• Ability to handle animals with care and assist in clinical procedures.
• Familiarity with IV catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist technicians and veterinarians.
• Conduct in-house blood work and venipuncture.
• Assist with radiographs and surgical preparations.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia.
• Provide medication labeling and client demonstrations.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and assist with appointments.
