Tarzana Pet Clinic in Tarzana, CA is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant with 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience to join our busy small-animal practice. You will restrain during exams, prepare lab samples, administer medications and vaccines, and support anesthesia and postoperative care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience
• Familiarity with Cornerstone software preferred
• Knowledge of animal handling and restraint of cats and dogs
• Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
• Understand animal behavior and healthcare basics
• Collect laboratory samples for analysis and test results
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders
• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care
• Digital radiology positioning experience

Responsibilities

• Restrain animals during examinations and treatments
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization
• Prepare laboratory samples and run basic tests
• Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures and assist post-op care
• Assist veterinarians with surgeries and examinations
• Capture radiographs and manage imaging data
• Support client communication and care coordination
