Lansing-Animal-Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join a fast-paced clinic where patient care and client education drive daily work. You will assist veterinarians, restrain patients, prepare spaces, and help with diagnostics while ensuring a calm, compassionate environment for pets and their families.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary assistant experience required.
  • Passion for patient care and client education.

  • Fear Free handling knowledge or interest is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with appointments, treatments, and procedures.
  • Safely restrain patients and help make visits stress-free.
  • Support patient care from check-in to discharge.
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces.
  • Assist with diagnostics including radiographs, labs, and patient monitoring.
  • Provide hospitalized patient care, feeding, cleaning, walking, and comfort care.
  • Educate clients on medications, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic.
  • Support smooth clinic flow while multitasking.
  • Bring compassion, teamwork, and good vibes to every shift.
  • Work with a supportive team that values assistants.
