Job summary

Animal Emergency Hospital in Burton, MI is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced emergency team. Starting pay is $20 per hour with up to a $5 per hour shift differential.

You will work closely with veterinarians and licensed technicians to provide hands-on care, monitor hospitalized and critical patients, and help maintain an efficient treatment area in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as a Veterinary Assistant (emergency or specialty experience preferred).
• Confidence in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws.
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations.
• Ability to participate in an overnight shift rotation.

• Draw blood and assist with diagnostics
