North East Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in New York. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 5 pm, with one weekday off and weekends off.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician or experienced professional
• Strong anesthesia assisting and monitoring skills
• Experience with veterinary dentistry is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, procedures, and surgeries
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgical and anesthetic procedures
• Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Closely monitor patient vital signs throughout anesthetic procedures
• Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
• Place IV catheters and assist with fluid therapy
• Perform and assist with dental procedures
• Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations
• Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records
• Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients
• Collaborate closely with veterinarians and team members
• Support teammates and contribute to efficient hospital workflow
