Job summary

Suffern Animal Hospital in New York is seeking a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) to join our busy, two-doctor practice. You will assist veterinarians in anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and patient care, delivering compassionate service to clients and their pets.

Qualifications

New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing.
Graduation from an AAS Veterinary Technology program or higher.
Proficiency in venipuncture and anesthesia-related tasks.
Experience with dentistry and radiology is preferred.
Strong nursing skills and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
Place and manage IV catheters and CRI medications.
Collect samples and run in-house diagnostics.
Educate clients on treatments and home care.
Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the team.
