Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an Experienced Line Clearance Trimmer to join a crew serving Guernsey and Tuscarawas County, Ohio, including Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia. The role emphasizes safety, climbing systems, and skilled pruning for utility clients.

You’ll use DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing, operate tools from chainsaws to aerial lifts, and work as part of a ground crew led by a foreperson. CDL or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates if state law requires.

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an Experienced Line Clearance Trimmer, preferably a Climber and/or with a CDL, joining a team servicing the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County, Ohio regions which includes: Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia.
