Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging is seeking an Experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time onsite role in Arlington Heights, IL. The position emphasizes accurate imaging, patient comfort and attention to detail, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities include exam preparation, equipment sterilization, patient education, and collaboration with physicians to document and analyze findings. ARDMS/RVT certified technologists with CPR-BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently.
• Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular; Breasts experience is a plus.
• CPR-BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
• Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
• Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
• Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
• Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
• Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
• Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions
