iPipeline is seeking an Experienced UI/UX Designer to help shape how users understand and interact with web-based and other software products. In this onsite role in Wayne, PA, you will design, prototype, and test information architectures across platforms, including mobile and web console devices, while working closely with product and engineering teams.
With 3+ years of relevant UI/UX design experience, you will translate product concepts into wireframes, user flows, and design specifications, maintain quality through usability evaluations, and support consistency through an evolving design system.
What You’ll Do
- Design, prototype, and test information architectures for web-based or other software products, including mobile and web console devices, using design concepts with minimal supervision.
- Convert ideas into wireframes, user task flow diagrams, and design specifications, including sitemaps, user flows, and information architecture with increasing independence and consistency.
- Create user personas, journey maps, and interaction models to clarify end-user needs and communicate design intent to product and development teams.
- Design interaction states such as empty, loading, error, and success states, along with transitions and micro interactions to ensure consistent interface experiences.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, back-end developers, marketing, and product teams to support technical and business objectives, managing cross-functional relationships with growing independence.
- Present design concepts and user needs to stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and refine deliverables with increasing autonomy.
- Plan and run usability evaluations, user interviews, and testing sessions, then translate findings into actionable design improvements without requiring a separate research handoff.
- Participate in design reviews and critiques, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain design quality and consistency.
- Perform competitive analysis and stay current with design trends, tools, and industry best practices, contributing observations and recommendations to team discussions.
- Help maintain the design system, including components, patterns, and style guides, to keep visual and interaction standards aligned across assigned product areas.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and design sprints, collaborating with product managers and engineers to contribute to design timelines and sprint deliverables.
- Operate with growing independence across assigned features and product areas, and assist less-experienced team members with design feedback and foundational guidance.
Key Requirements
- Typically 3+ years of relevant UI/UX design experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end design work for software products (web and/or mobile) with moderate supervision.
- Proficiency in Figma, including creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design patterns, and visual design fundamentals (typography, color theory, layout, visual hierarchy).
- Ability to plan and conduct usability studies and user interviews with growing independence, without handoff to a separate research function.
- Ability to translate and communicate findings to product and engineering teams.
- Growing ability to identify design challenges and propose solutions with moderate guidance, using foundational analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of WCAG guidelines and inclusive design practices, applying accessibility standards with growing independence.
- Experience designing for web and mobile platforms, including foundational responsive design practices and familiarity with platform-specific conventions.
- Experience working within and contributing to established component libraries and design systems, including following and extending design standards.
- Familiarity with user research and analytics platforms such as PostHog, Maze, Hotjar, Amplitude, or equivalent tools.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS fundamentals to communicate design intent effectively with development teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools, including Jira or equivalent project management platforms, in sprint-based environments.
