Job summary
Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. in Houston, TX seeks a Repair Technician to repair, overhaul, inspect, and assemble compressor and turbo expander components.
You will read drawings, perform balancing, and maintain detailed repair records in a fast-paced shop environment. The role requires 5+ years in mechanical repair or related fields, with experience on compressors, turbo expanders, or similar equipment, and familiarity with SAP/PLM systems applicable to oil & gas or industrial manufacturing
Qualifications
- 5+ years in mechanical repair, industrial maintenance, rotating equipment, automotive, or similar hands-on environment.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and machining documentation.
- Experience with compressors, turbo expanders, pumps, or rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with SAP, PLM systems, or oil & gas/industrial manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities
- Execute repairs, upgrades, inspections, and overhauls of turbomachinery components (compressors, turbo expanders).
- Disassembly, cleaning, damage assessment, balancing, and reassembly of rotating equipment.
- Read drawings, use precision measurement tools, and collaborate with engineering for repair quality.
- Assemble compressor cores and skid assemblies and maintain repair records.
- Maintain a safe, organized shop and support day-to-day repair operations.
