Job summary

Capital Tower & Communications, Inc. is seeking Traveling Telecommunications Tower Technicians to join our field team. This role involves climbing towers, installing, maintaining, and repairing antenna systems at heights and locations nationwide.

You will travel 6-week rotations with breaks, work in all weather, and receive comprehensive training, competitive pay, benefits, and a per diem. Join us to help connect communities and advance wireless infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Physical requirement to climb to heights daily

• Some construction and/or electrical experience preferred
• Hands-on, practical problem-solver

Being a tower climber can be a very rewarding and worthwhile career, but it takes a unique skillset and even more of a unique personality. These are some physical and mental attributes that some of the most successful Tower Technicians have.

• You are physically able to climb to heights in excess of 300 feet daily
• You can work in all weather conditions year-round
• You have some construction and/or electrical experience
• You enjoy working with your hands
• You enjoy constant travel and willing to live life on the road 6-Week Travel rotations followed by a 7-10 day break. (Travel expenses covered)

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Install/replace/repair antenna system equipment
• Distribute/pick-up/organize tools and materials
• Install/modify/mount & platform
• Identify/fix problems using test equipment
• Work with a team
• Perform tower structure inspection
• Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment performs tower maintenance under close supervision.
• The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Distribute, pick up and organize tools and materials.
• Ability to read site plans and tower drawings.
• The hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
