Job summary

Capital Tower & Communications, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Telecommunications Tower Technician to install, maintain and repair antenna systems for wireless clients. This role requires comfort with heights and frequent travel across the USA.

You will climb towers up to 300 feet, work in all weather, and participate in 6‑week rotations with 7–10 day breaks. Our program includes extensive training and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to climb to heights over 300 feet daily.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions year-round.
• Some construction and/or electrical experience is preferred.
• Enjoy hands-on work and travel.
• Willing to live on the road with 6-week rotations (travel expenses covered).

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Install/replace/repair antenna system equipment.
• Distribute/pick-up/organize tools and materials.
• Install/modify/mount and platform components.
• Identify and fix problems using test equipment.
• Work with a team to complete tower projects.
• Perform tower structure inspections.
• Read site plans and tower drawings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment performs tower maintenance under close supervision.
• The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Distribute, pick up and organize tools and materials.
• Ability to read site plans and tower drawings.
• The hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
