Job summary

Leppo Rents is seeking a diesel mechanic to service skid steers, mini excavators, telehandlers, and similar equipment in our shop and field service settings.

You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance to keep our rental fleet ready-to-work, using electronic tools and manuals. Strong teamwork and a customer-first mindset are essential for success and growth within the Leppo team.

• Experience repairing and servicing compact construction equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, telehandlers, and more).
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and get machines back to work quickly.
• Customer-first attitude – our technicians are the face of our service.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on compact construction equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems).
• Handle routine maintenance to keep our rental fleet in “ready-to-work” condition.
• Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
• Keep detailed repair and maintenance records and manage work orders.
• Mentor and collaborate with teammates across Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
