Jackson Hewitt - 1925 is hiring experienced, full-time seasonal Tax Preparers across five storefront offices including TRENTON, NJ and EWING, NJ. You will prepare federal and state returns, interview clients, review documents, explain results, and deliver friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Training and advancement opportunities are offered. We value tax knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to build client relationships while meeting tax-season goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preparing individual income tax returns in a paid setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state income taxes.
• Confidence using tax preparation software and learning new systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients.
• Availability for full-time seasonal work, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to meet applicable tax preparer registration and credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Interview clients to understand tax situations and identify deductions/credits.
• Review documents and resolve missing or inconsistent information.
