Job summary

Boeing Aerospace Operations, Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking an Experienced Support Equipment Technician for JB Andrews, MD. This 100% onsite role involves hands-on maintenance of aircraft Ground Support Equipment and readiness to deploy to various locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
• Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
• Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
• Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
• Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
• Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
• Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
• Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
• At the sole discretion of leadership, employee must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
• Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation
• Work under general supervision and with minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background
