Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator for soil amendments on new residential lots in Florida. This full-time role sits with the Field Operations team and bridges work between the builder's final grade and irrigation installation.

When soil amendment work is unavailable, you may assist landscape installation crews. The position requires safe operation, attention to drainage, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of skid steer operating experience preferred.
• Experience with grading, soil preparation, landscaping, or residential construction strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment in tight residential construction lots.
• Basic understanding of grading, drainage, and soil conditions.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a production schedule.
• Willingness to perform landscape installation work when needed.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather and perform physical labor as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer and attachments safely and efficiently.
• Spread and incorporate soil amendments according to project requirements.
• Maintain proper grades and drainage while protecting homes, driveways, sidewalks, utilities, and other completed work.
• Identify lots that are not ready due to grading, moisture, debris, access, or other site conditions.
• Complete assigned lots according to the production schedule.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist landscape installation crews when soil amendment work is not available.
• Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.

Position Summary

Quality By Design is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator to perform soil amendments on new residential construction lots. This position works between the builder's final grade and QBD's irrigation installation, preparing lots for the next phase of construction.

When soil amendment work is not available, this position will assist landscape installation crews as needed.
