Job summary

St Lucie Battery & Tire in Okeechobee, FL is seeking an Experienced Service Advisor to be the primary liaison between customers and service teams. You will greet customers, listen to concerns, educate on services, schedule appointments, process payments, and track accounts to ensure smooth repairs.

You will also review customer details, manage complaints, serve as a CRM link between departments, and help achieve sales goals in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years experience in a service advisor role is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in computer applications and industry software.
• Basic accounting and electronic payment systems knowledge.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Summary of position:

The Service Advisor is responsible for assisting customers with their vehicle repair needs by acting as the primary liaison between the customer and the service repair teams.

• Interact with customers, listen to their concerns, and provide timely responses.
• Educate clients about the company’s products, services, and offers.
• Schedule appointments, take orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments.
• Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff.
• Manage complaints, returns and resolve customer grievances.

• Tire experience and/or commercial tire experience is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in computer applications and industry-specific software.
• Basic accounting skills and knowledge of electronic payment systems.

Required Licenses or Certifications:

• Driver's License, unrestricted

Work Environment/Expectations:

• Work will occur in well-lit, well-ventilated repair shop locations.
• Exposure is grease, car exhaust and chemicals is expected.
• Background noise from coworkers, vehicles and various tools is expected.
• Must wear company branded work attire.

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, sitting and squatting is expected.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Regular use of computer keyboard and telephone.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds routine.
• Must be able to walk, talk, listen and speak clearly.
• Use of fine motor skills is expected.
