Job summary

What you will do

A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who alleviates customer concerns regarding security systems. You will advise customers and the customer care center about the status of systems and inspections, and you will repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems, and other security equipment. This Technician will be equipped to work independently from a remote location and will provide customers with the highest level of service to resolve building inefficiencies and service-related items. As a trusted advisor, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How you will do it

As a Commercial Service Technician you will locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operation; prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. You will coordinate inspections and installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies. Service Technicians will be responsible for the service and repair of commercial security, fire alarm, CCTV, and Card Access systems. You will provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility runs efficiently, including upselling opportunities and providing quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.96 - 36.05 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
