Job description

At iEvolve, our field staff enjoy working with a dynamic organization focused on providing world class customer service. Alarm Technicians must possess a minimum of four years full-time experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting alarm and camera systems.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ properties.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Install, test, and maintain a variety of security alarm systems, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, IP based cameras and access control systems.

Respond to service calls to troubleshoot and repair alarm systems in a timely manner.

Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on installed systems.

Educate clients on the operation and features of their security systems.

Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Stay informed about the latest technologies and advancements in security systems.

Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.

Proper management of van stock and tools as well as van maintenance and appearance.

Communicate effectively and take directions from Project Managers.

Daily updates to project documentation and work order in job management software.

Great punctuality is a must, and excessive tardiness will not be tolerated.

Meet with Project Manager to ensure timeline and expectations

Communicate effectively with and take directions from the Project Manager.

Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment.

Daily job site cleanliness and adherence to builder site requirements.

Accurate time clock entries and job costing.

Make decisions and be held accountable for Time and Materials.

Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Technician’s care.

Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers.

Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical degree or certification preferred.

Proven experience as a security alarm technician.

Familiarity with various alarm systems and troubleshooting techniques.

Strong electrical and mechanical skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. (Mandatory)

Valid Texas Alarm Installers License. (Mandatory)

Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs.

May require standing or stooping for extended periods.

Ability to work in tight spaces and at extension ladder heights.
