Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse in California to deliver direct patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on safe, skilled, and compassionate neonatal care in a 84-bed unit, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and family-centered care.

You will coordinate care plans, document thoroughly, and communicate with physicians and families to ensure smooth patient stays while upholding safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSE, or CHS IEP Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year+ NICU RN experience
• California RN license required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the NICU using evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Complete assessments, document accurately, and develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year + of NICU RN experience

Experience

• Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
