Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit. This 48-bed unit features cross-trained telemetry and IMC patient care, including chronic ventilator management and insulin drips. We offer hands-on mentorship, strong leadership, and opportunities to advance in acute care.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans; interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated with the nursing team.
