Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore franchisee in Yorktown, VA seeks a field technician to perform water, fire, and mold remediation with a strong focus on safety and customer service. You will learn transferables across maintenance, construction, leadership, and client interaction within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, following procedures, documenting losses, and coordinating with the project manager. Full-time hours and an on-call rotation accompany competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1-3 yrs Experience in Restoration Industry preferred.
• Must have an active driver's license with a good driving record.
• No felonies on record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to pass respirator fit test and DOT vehicle requirements.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders, verify route, load required equipment, and reach site.
• Perform water/mold/fire remediation per procedures and safety standards.
• Mitigate losses per IICRC and company standards; set up remediation equipment.
• Document losses and report equipment malfunctions.
• Inform project manager of issues; maintain time sheets.
• Maintain PPE usage and safe work practices on site.

Responsibilities

As a technician with ServiceMaster Restore®, you will learn a wide variety of transferrable skills related to maintenance, construction, leadership, and customer service. Specific job responsibilities include:

• Retrieves work orders/assignments, checks route for travel, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies needed for a job are loaded on truck needed for job, and arrives at the work site


• Performs and properly mitigates water/mold/fire remediation losses as directed according to company procedures including but not limited to extraction, debris removal/disposition, demolition and cleaning.


• Properly mitigates losses as per IICRC standards., and company standards.


• Sets up remediation equipment on site per plans.


• Properly documents losses as per company procedures.


• Reports equipment malfunctions.


• Notifies project manager of customer or project issues as they arise.


• Maintains time sheet records.


• Conducts work assignment in quality manner.


• Maintains personal safety with PPE provided.

Requirements

• 1-3 yrs Experience in Restoration Industry preferred


• Useful Industry Certifications


• Must have an active drivers license with a good standing record (no DUI, DWI or reckless driving in the last 3-5 years, consecutive speeding tickets) employee will have to pass a motor vehicle report


• No felonies


• Must be authorized to work in the United States


• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test for both 1/2 and full face respirators. No beards or facial hair where it would affect a seal.


• Must be able to pass a physical to wear a respirator and to drive DOT vehicles.

Incumbent Must Be Prepared To

• Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.


• Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.


• Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.


• For safety reasons, respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.


• Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.

HOURS

Full-time schedules available. Mandatory overnight on-call shift rotational . NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY 8am-4:30 PM.

Pay will depend on experience and active IICRC certifications.

Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
