Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking an on-site Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a clinic setting. The role includes assisting physicians during examinations, preparing equipment, and ensuring efficient clinic flow from 8am to 5pm, Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities include triaging calls, coordinating referrals and tests, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the health care team to implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced skills in physical examinations, performs tests and interprets results with physicians.
• Ensures clinic flow, coordinates referrals, follow-ups and diagnostics with scheduler.
• Triages patient calls with call center team; follows up on tests and reports to provider.
• Refer patients to specialists and schedule follow-up, weekly and procedure appointments.
• Educates patients and family members; performs other duties as assigned.
