Job summary

MedStar Health in Maryland seeks an RN for the Neuro Telemetry unit on a Full Time basis at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. The unit offers 48 beds, with neuro and medical-surgical care, including stroke, seizures, brain mass, neuro-surgical cases and respiratory-focused med-surg patients.

Shifts are 12 hours, with day or night options and every 3rd weekend. Excellent benefits are provided, including tuition support and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Active MD RN license or Active Compact State RN and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to coordinate interventions.

48-Bed all private rooms including 20 telemetry beds

Types of neurological patients: stroke, seizure, brain mass, neuro-surg and demyelinating diseases

Types of med- surg patients focus is respiratory but service the general med-surg population

Straight shifts (either day shift or night shift positions) with three 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend schedule

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
