The Shamrock Group has an immediate opening for an Experienced Refrigeration Technician. The Shamrock Group is a stable and growing company that has been in operation for over 70 years.

We are looking for an experienced refrigeration technician to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various refrigeration systems and coolers. Pays up to $35/hr, based on experience.

We are seeking a candidate with high-quality workmanship, a positive "get it done" attitude, who can work well independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate should be committed to customer satisfaction, reliable, honest, and possess a strong work ethic.

Job Duties

• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance for equipment in assigned accounts.
• Troubleshoot problems related to Shamrock equipment and make resolution recommendations.
• Prepare for and install new equipment.
• Answer technical support calls regarding products, dispensers, installations, and applications.
• Solder, braze, and use acetylene torch.
• Able to replace expansion valves, cap tubes, compressors, evaporators, and other refrigeration system components.
• Test and identify systems for refrigeration leaks and perform repairs.
• Possess knowledge and EPA certification for various refrigerants and refrigerant oils.
• Ability to run wiring, make electrical connections, and perform plumbing to connect new equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial refrigeration experience in installation and/or service.
• Prefer experience in bar/restaurant refrigeration.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including electrical skills.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic processes.
• Experience with walk-in freezers/coolers, reach-ins, pantry units, ice machines, and beverage refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of operating and using common refrigerants such as 404A and R22; knowledge of R290 is preferred.
• Self-motivated, reliable, professional, able to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and management.
