Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II at Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. This part-time position delivers safe, high-quality imaging and supports teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

You will perform radiographs, ensure proper labeling and patient safety, and participate in training and quality initiatives. The role emphasizes communication with patients and efficient workflow in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Certificate in Radiologic Technology (METC) from an approved program (METC) required.
• Three (3) or more years of diagnostic radiography/fluoroscopy experience.
• ARRT certification required upon hire.
• Maryland or Virginia radiologic technologist license upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs per physician specs and protocols.
• Assess image quality, ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
• Assist in operating room with C‑Arm and/or O‑Arm for invasive procedures.
• Participate in department performance improvement initiatives and staff training.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and manage supplies in the assigned area.
• Communicate with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures.
• Perform quality control and report equipment or environmental issues.
• Educate and support patients, addressing physical and psychological needs.
