Job summary

GBMC Health Partners in Towson, Maryland seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner with 2–5 years of primary care experience to join our Medicine for Adults practice on GBMC's main campus. Education: Certified Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.

Licensure requirements include CPR and ongoing professional development in line with GBMC values of Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork, Ethical Behavior and Results.

Qualifications

• Requires completed Certified Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.
• Analytical ability to assess patients and implement interventions.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Conducts history and physical exams with documentation.
• Writes orders per hospital policy and patient care needs.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts treatment with the attending physician.
• Documents findings, progress, and plans accurately in progress notes.
• Refers to physicians or designees as needed and coordinates with care teams.
• Supports nursing and hospital performance improvement initiatives.
• Provides patient/family education and preventative health guidance.
