Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Newburyport, MA is seeking an Experienced Press Machine Operator for the first shift. This full-time role requires running press machines, performing visual inspections, and maintaining safe, orderly work areas on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of press operation experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work without sponsorship in the U.S. ITAR/EAR regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1-3 years of Press Operator background and/or experience in a machine shop.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE and following safety guidelines for the assigned task.
• Run Press machines with skill and efficiency.
• Perform visual inspection while running presses.
• Identify issues and recommend solutions when issues arise with the press.
• Provide technical expertise in the Progressive Cell.
• Consistently follow documented production instructions.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area at all times.
• Follow all applicable AS9100 quality procedures.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking for a capable and hardworking Experienced Press Machine Operator for First Shift at our Newburyport facility.

Location:

Newburyport, MA.

This position is 100% onsite.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of Press Operator background and/or experience in a machine shop.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong technical knowledge of Tool and Dies
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
