Job summary

Siemens Energy in Houston is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Supervisor to oversee plant maintenance activities, planning and directing preventive, predictive, and corrective work to keep equipment safe and reliable.

You will lead maintenance personnel and contractors, drive safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate budgets and documentation to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in power plant maintenance with at least 4 in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance programs safely.
• Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure safe, efficient plant upkeep.
• Investigate equipment failures to improve reliability and PM effectiveness.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance documentation, procedures, and training materials.
• Review maintenance performance metrics and assist in outage investigations.
• Manage maintenance budgets and advise Plant Manager on asset needs.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will direct maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure plant equipment is maintained safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
• Investigate equipment failures and incidents to enhance reliability and improve preventive maintenance effectiveness.
• Prepare and maintain essential maintenance documentation, including procedures, job plans, and training materials to support effective execution.
• Review maintenance performance metrics and assist in investigating forced outages and equipment reliability issues.
• Manage maintenance budgets and provide recommendations to the Plant Manager regarding spending and long-term asset needs.

What You Bring

• You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant power plant maintenance experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Your thorough understanding of power plant maintenance practices includes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, along with strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• You possess the ability to plan and coordinate maintenance programs that ensure safe work practices and timely resolution of equipment issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems is essential for your success in this role.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical degree or craft certification is preferred.
