Job summary

Siemens Energy in Houston, TX is seeking an Experienced Power Plant Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for safe, reliable plant performance. You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective activities, coordinating personnel and contractors to uphold environmental compliance and operational excellence.

Your leadership will drive plant availability, reliability, and cost-efficient maintenance programs while fostering safety and teamwork across the site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant power plant maintenance experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Thorough understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, with strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance programs ensuring safe work practices and timely resolution of equipment issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS is essential for success.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree or craft certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure plant equipment is maintained safely and efficiently, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate equipment failures and incidents to enhance reliability and improve preventive maintenance effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain essential maintenance documentation, including procedures, job plans, and training materials.
  • Review maintenance performance metrics and assist in investigating forced outages and equipment reliability issues.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and provide recommendations to Plant Manager regarding spending and long-term asset needs.
