Job summary

Centers Laboratory in Carlisle, PA is seeking qualified Phlebotomists to work weekdays 8 AM - 7 PM. The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience and strong interpersonal skills; duties include patient prep, proper blood collection, labeling, and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities also cover safety protocols, handling specimens, and coordinating with the Phlebotomy Supervisor. Must be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced lab, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
• 2 years phlebotomy experience required.
• Knowledge of safety and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and prepare them for blood collection.
• Assemble supplies and equipment for specimen collection.
• Draw blood using proper techniques and equipment.
• Label test tubes correctly and ensure correct patient identification.
• Follow safety procedures and dispose of sharps properly.
• Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.
• Monitor patients during procedure and provide reassurance.
• Travel to multiple locations as needed.
