Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey is seeking Phlebotomists to work weekdays 8 AM - 7 PM at our Newark, NJ laboratory. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of phlebotomy experience and strong interpersonal skills to support patient care.

Responsibilities include patient prep, proper blood draw technique, accurate labeling and record keeping, and adherence to safety procedures. Candidates must be able to work at multiple locations and pass required training.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred; hospital lab training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify patients using wristbands, documents or visual ID.
• Draw blood using proper equipment and techniques.
• Label test tubes correctly and send for testing.
• Maintain patient records and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Educate patients on aftercare and monitor for adverse reactions.
