Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey is seeking qualified Phlebotomists to work weekdays 8 AM - 7 PM at our Passaic, NJ location. The ideal candidate has 2 years of phlebotomy experience and excellent interpersonal skills.

A Phlebotomy Technician certificate is preferred, with hospital or major lab training required if not certified. The role reports to the Phlebotomy Supervisor and involves patient interviews, specimen collection, labeling, and safe, accurate handling of blood samples.

Qualifications

• Must have strong people skills and clear communication.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred; if not, hospital or lab training completed.
• 2 years of proven phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients accurately using wristbands or documents.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for blood draws following standards.
• Draw blood using proper technique and safety procedures.
• Label tubes correctly and ensure proper test tube order of draw.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and sanitize work area.
• Educate patients on aftercare and handle patient questions.
