Duffy & Duffy, PLLC on Long Island, New York, seeks an experienced Personal Injury Attorney with a strong background in Motor Vehicle Accident and General Liability litigation to join our plaintiff-side team. This is not an entry-level position.

The selected attorney will independently manage a high-volume caseload, develop case strategy, conduct depositions, negotiate settlements, and prepare cases for trial while maintaining clear client communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
• New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of MVA and General Liability.
• Plaintiff-side experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters.
• Handle motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, general negligence and other general liability matters.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle court appearances, conferences, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Review medical records and work with medical providers and experts.
• Prepare cases for trial and work closely with our litigation and trial teams.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the litigation process.

Duffy & Duffy, PLLC, an established Long Island plaintiff personal injury law firm, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney with a strong background in Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and General Liability litigation.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an attorney with a minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience who can confidently manage an active caseload and move cases from inception through resolution.

What You'll Be Doing

• Independently manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters
• Handle motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, general negligence, and other general liability matters
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Handle court appearances, conferences, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel
• Review medical records and work with medical providers and experts
• Prepare cases for trial and work closely with our litigation and trial teams
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the litigation process
• Ensure cases are actively progressing and all court, discovery, and internal deadlines are met

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of personal injury litigation experience
• New York State Bar admission and good standing
• Significant experience handling MVA and General Liability cases
• Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of New York personal injury law and civil litigation procedure
• Experience conducting depositions and appearing in New York courts
• Strong negotiation and case-evaluation skills
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
• Highly organized, proactive, and deadline-driven
• Trial experience is a plus
