Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri seeks an OR nurse with 2+ years of perioperative experience to join our fast-paced operating room team. You will scrub and/or circulate across Pod specialties, supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists in complex cases.

We value patient education, safety, and collaboration. A Nursing Diploma/Associate's is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred; relocation and tuition support are available as part of our comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Provides direct perioperative nursing care in the OR
• Educates patients and families about procedures and resources
• Demonstrates competence in scrubbing and/or circulating for surgical services

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families about the procedure and what to expect.
• Demonstrates competence and independence in scrubbing and/or circulating.
• Prepares instruments, supplies and equipment for surgeries according to safety requirements.
• Keeps patients safe from adverse events and monitors for complications during procedures.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory compliance and ongoing professional development
