Job summary

Boeing on NAS Whidbey Island, WA is seeking an Experienced P-8 Maintenance Technician to support the P-8A Site Activation. This 100% onsite role focuses on hands-on maintenance of aerospace systems and ensuring flight worthiness.

The position requires 3+ years' aircraft maintenance experience, ability to deploy domestically/internationally, variable shifts (including weekends/overtime), and an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Oversee validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Document procedures and processes to ensure compliance (repairs, test results, modifications).
• Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Perform tasks related to safe handling of aerospace vehicles (jacking, towing, system operations).
• Work under minimal direction.

Seeking a Experienced P-8 Maintenance Technician to support the P-8A Site Activation Support Team at NAS Whidbey Island, WA.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities

• Assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
• Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Minimum 3 years' experience with General Aircraft Mechanic techniques and processes
• At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
• Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• 4 years or more experience supporting a 737, AAS, INC3, and 4790 maintenance organization.
• Experience working with U. S. Navy Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS).
• Experience supporting a maintenance organization.
