Job summary

The Boeing Company in Huntsville, AL seeks an Experienced or Senior Electrical and Test Engineer to support automated test equipment design and validation for PAC-3 programs. You will develop requirements, implement test strategies, and troubleshoot hardware across the product lifecycle.

Required are a BS in Engineering, 3+ years in test setups, and ability to travel up to 10%. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are mandatory. Relocation is provided per eligibility.

Experienced or Senior Electrical Engineer

Position: Experienced or Senior Electrical and Test Engineer to serve as an Automated Test Equipment Engineer to join our Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL. We design, sustain, and upgrade next generation electronics concepts and support production and special test equipment design for increasing capacity requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support design of automated test equipment, development of engineering documentation, and hardware fabrication, integration, and validation testing.
• Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements.
• Create and implement overall Test Equipment Design strategies.
• Review and apply real-time test anomaly troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered during hardware validation and verification testing.
• Support fielded test equipment hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Research emerging technologies for potential applications to meet projected requirements.
• Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, troubleshooting, and resolutions.

This position requires the ability to get a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 3+ years of experience setting up equipment and performing tests on various products and assemblies using manual or automated test devices
• Hands-on lab experience with power, analog, digital, or RF electronics testing or test methodology
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering
• Experience designing automated test equipment
• Experience developing and executing test equipment verification and validation plans
• Experience performing circuit analysis in SPICE or similar tools like LTSpice etc
• Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB
• Experience with National Instrument’s Lab-View and Test-Stand software
• Experience with Unigraphics, Creo or other drafting CAD tools
• Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, …)
• Active Security Clearance
