Falmouth Animal Hospital, part of Vetcor, is seeking an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician with a surgical background. This full-time position offers a flexible 4-day work week with rotating Saturday half-days and a competitive hourly rate of $27–$30 based on experience and licensure.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, induction, and recovery.
• Experience assisting in surgery and providing high-quality patient nursing care.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong patient handling skills with Fear Free techniques.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain histories, vitals, and assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Support surgical and dental procedures (prep, monitoring, recovery, instrument care).
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures and maintain accurate records.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, induction, and recovery
• Experience assisting in surgery and providing high-quality patient nursing care
