Job summary

Goble Vision Care LLC in Lincoln Park is seeking an experienced optician to join our private practice. You will be responsible for selling, fitting and dispensing glasses, answering phones, scheduling patients, and verifying insurance while delivering an exceptional interpersonal experience for our patients.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years in the optical field, and familiarity with vision plans such as VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, and Davis Vision.

Qualifications

• Experience in the optical field (3+ years).
• Familiarity with major vision plans (VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, Davis Vision).
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Fully available to work full-time, including Saturdays.
• Passion to support office growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Sell premium glasses and contact lenses; fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear.
• Answer phones, schedule patients, and verify insurance benefits.
• Be familiar with our optical inventory to provide suitable selections.
• Learn to edge lenses with in-house equipment.
• Support promotion and growth of the practice.

Experienced Optician Needed

Our private practice optometry office in Lincoln Park is looking to add to our team! Our optician will be responsible for the selling, fitting, and dispensing glasses and will initially be expected to answer phones, schedule patients, verify insurance, and other tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis. This will all be done while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients! We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the field, exceptional communication skills, is flexible as the office grows, has the ability to multitask, and most of all the passion to be instrumental in helping to lay the foundation for our growing company.

Candidate requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in the optical field
• Familiarity working with many vision plans including VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, and Davis Vision, etc.
• Great interpersonal and customer service skills
• The availability to work full time including Saturdays
• The passion to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to sell premium quality glasses and contact lenses
• Skilled in fitting, adjustment, and dispensing glasses
• To be familiar with our optical inventory and products to provide the most appropriate selections for the patient
• A chance to learn to edge lenses with in-house optical equipment
• Answer phones to schedule patients and answer general questions
• Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans
• Have the willingness and flexibility to learn and adapt in a variety of situations
• Must have the desire and investment in the practice to help with promotion and growth

Compensation depends on experience and skill level.
