Goble Vision Care LLC in Lincoln Park is seeking an experienced optician to join our private practice. You will sell, fit, and dispense glasses, while answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying insurance, and helping the office run smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in the optical field, excellent communication, and a passion for growing the practice. This is a full-time in-person role with weekend work and opportunities to contribute to efficiency and patient care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of optical experience.
• Familiarity with vision plans (VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, Davis Vision, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Availability to work full-time including Saturdays.
• Willingness to assist with office efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities

• Sell premium glasses and contact lenses.
• Fit, adjust, and dispense glasses.
• Be familiar with optical inventory to recommend selections.
• Learn to edge lenses with in-house equipment.
• Answer phones to schedule patients and answer general questions.
• Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans.
• Be willing and flexible to learn and adapt in various situations.
• Contribute to promotion and growth of the practice.

Experienced Optician Needed

Our private practice optometry office in Lincoln Park is looking to add to our team! Our optician will be responsible for the selling, fitting, and dispensing glasses and will initially be expected to answer phones, schedule patients, verify insurance, and other tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis. This will all be done while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients! We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the field, exceptional communication skills, is flexible as the office grows, has the ability to multitask, and most of all the passion to be instrumental in helping to lay the foundation for our growing company.

Candidate requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in the optical field
• Familiarity working with many vision plans including VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, and Davis Vision, etc.
• Great interpersonal and customer service skills
• The availability to work full time including Saturdays
• The passion to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice

Job Responsibilities:
