Job summary

St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute in Tarpon Springs is seeking a full-time Experienced Ophthalmic Technician.

The Ophthalmic Scribe’s primary responsibility is preparing patients for appointments with the physician, including interviewing patients and documenting their history. You will support diagnostic testing and document ocular histories, work in a fast-paced clinic across multiple locations, and use NextGen EMR.

Qualifications

About the Position

The Ophthalmic Scribe’s primary responsibility is preparing patients for appointments with the physician. Tasks include interviewing patients and documenting their history, diagnostic testing, and scribing for the physician while maintaining a clean and friendly environment.

• Experience with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting
• Proficiency with EMR computer programs; NextGen is preferred
• Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned
