Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for MICU in Edmond, PRN, nights. The RN will provide high-quality inpatient care, monitor critically ill patients, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires current RN licensure in Oklahoma, BLS, and 1+ year of patient care experience. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 1+ years of patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• License/Certification: Current RN license and BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to interventions and notes changes in orders.
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitors and responds to patient physiological data and changes.
• Administers medications and initiates IV infusions and transfusions.
• Delivers safe, competent patient care and addresses complaints with staff.
• Communicates care plans to patients/families and at discharge.
• Maintains, mentors, and pursues ongoing certification and professional growth.
