Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital, a part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a licensed therapist to deliver clinical social work services including psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, and discharge planning within its Cape Girardeau, MO facility.

The role involves active participation in treatment teams, crisis intervention, and liaison with referral sources to support patient care across the hospital’s continuum.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field. Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in advanced clinical/management practice.
• License: Appropriate state licensure in mental health. Preference for LCSW licensure or greater.
• Additional Requirements: Knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Responsibilities

• The Therapist provides clinical social work services in designated areas in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Southeast Behavioral Health.
• The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service.
• Crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
